My service and passion is to share yoga, meditation and mindful practices to inspire and elevate others to evolve well. I am an experienced yoga teacher, holding an E-RYT 500 certification with Yoga Alliance, specializing in Yoga Nidra, restorative yoga and balancing practices. I have certifications and experience in hatha yoga, personal training, health coaching and nutrition. I love sharing tools that are authentic to the person or group I’m working with. Sometimes it’s a gentle experience to ease anxiety and relax the body. Other times it’s a strong and fiery flow to purify and awaken energy. And there are times we don’t do any asana (postures/flow) and we focus just on the breath, on meditation and on coaching.
How did I get here?
I transitioned into mindful living and wellness because I wanted to help people. I made the bold decision to leave the company I had been a part of for 11 years to explore this wild idea of creating a local wellness blog - which somehow magically transitioned into yoga and wellness coaching.
Yoga was not the dream… at first. After leaving my marketing job I started to create a local website focused on wellness and promoting healthy activities and tips. I thought it would be a good idea to get certified in personal training and yoga so I would have the credentials and more knowledge. I had no idea at the time how that one decision would have changed my life!
During a Chakra workshop in my 200-hour teacher training program I had my awakening moment. It was then that I realized I had the power to truly transform myself, that I didn’t have to accept my weaknesses and live in fear. I felt this amazing energy shift and this wave of clarity that I had found my passion, my purpose.
The yoga program offered a nice introduction and put a lot of emphasis on mindfulness, but I wanted more. I was ready to go deeper into asana, meditation, spirituality and philosophy. I discovered Zuna Yoga and enrolled in their intensive 28 day 300-hour program in Bali, Indonesia. The Zuna Yoga training program was one of the most impactful and elevating experiences in my life.
When I returned home from Bali I put my energy into teaching yoga, working with people one-on-one, in classes and through workshops. I discovered that people were confiding in me, sharing their fears, and looking to me to give them guidance in all areas of their life. This led me to continue my education with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a health coach. I’ve also traveled to New York and Los Angeles to practice at leading meditation and yoga centers and I continue to grow and expand my knowledge through workshops, programs and classes.
Before yoga I was just going through the motions, not really dreaming, not really clear on what I truly wanted, just getting by. Yoga changed everything for me and I’ve seen it transform others. I’ve worked with people to create more balance and reduce stress. I’ve helped people build physical and mental strength. I’ve worked with people to create more clarity to connect to their passions. I’ve helped people slow down and feel more connected in their bodies, in their minds and in their heart. I’ve worked with all ages, my youngest client 11 years old and my oldest in their 80’s. I’ve taught people how to meditate. I’ve empowered women and men to move past doubt and live in confidence. I’ve helped people grow and create a practice authentic to their intentions and lifestyle.
I’m humbled to share this practice, to inspire others, and to help people heal, transform and connect to their joy, so they can evolve well.
